Picture 1 of 12. True glamping! What could be better than morning coffee al fresco overlooking the glorious countryside?
Rivendell Glamping Pods are curvy, cute, comfortable and unique in design. They provide the opportunity to enjoy camping in luxury with fabulous far reaching views across the Tamar Valley during the day and dark starry skies at night. Set just behind the main farmhouse, on the edge of a paddock and next to the shared children’s play-area, these two cedar-clad cylindrical ‘Hobbit-style’ pods offer living accommodation in one and full washing facilities in the other with shower cubicle, WC, wash-basin and an open-air kitchen sink. The enclosed, raised deck gives plenty of space for all to enjoy al fresco meals or to just sit and relax on the recliners after a day exploring. The living pod has a double bed (4’ wide) nestling between the two singles (2’ wide), and if the weather is inclement you will be warm and cosy with a flat screen television and DVD player to keep you entertained. Or, just throw open the double doors and enjoy the view from the warmth of the pod! Situated in the small rural hamlet of North Tamerton, the surfing town of Bude with its famous sea pool and many surf schools is only a twenty minute drive away, as is the wide expanse of sandy beach at Widemouth Bay. The bustling market town of Holsworthy is just five miles, and the popular locations of Port Isaac, Boscastle and Padstow are within a thirty minute drive. You are welcome to roam the 250 acres of farmland (please take care with livestock) and if the paddock is empty you are welcome to use this space too, including the fire-pit area at the bottom. You can stroll directly down to the River Tamar and River Deer along the quiet road where you are welcome to fly fish for trout – bring your own licence (or purchase locally) and equipment, or perhaps take a picnic and just enjoy the peace and tranquility. Rivendell is a unique glamping experience situated in a delightful rural area only a short distance from the dramatic north Cornwall/Devon coast. The Rivendell Glamping Pods measure 4.8 metres long, 2.4 metres wide and 2.6 metres high. The lower price band applies for parties of 2 or less. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 11am on departure.
