The Orchard is a beautiful detached home- from-home with stunninng gardens, an orchard and hilltop walks straight from the property.Porlock is one of the places where Exmoor meets the coast - this is the view over the top of the village towards Bossington and Greenaleigh Point - a wonderful section of the South West Coasl Path.The main sitting-room is really welcoming and spacious. The French windows lead to the patio and gardens.
The sociable kitchen/dining-room - a lovely setting for a celebration or just for a happy family meal.You can walk to Porlock Weir via a woodland track directly from The Orchard. This is a great setting whatever the time of year.Looking back across the kitchen towards the snug.

The Orchard has a really lovely garden with several different places to sit and  enjoy the views.There is a picnic-table in this sheltered corner of the garden.This is a view looking up above the garden to the orchard and beyond that the woodland with walks to Porlock Weir and the South West Coastal Path.
Deer come down to graze in the orchard next to the house.This is the little patio outside the study/cot-room - a great place to sit and watch the deer in the orchard.There is a beautiful colourful sheltered garden here, as well as the orchard and the woodland.
Minehead has miles of sandy beach for all the family to enjoy.A few minutes' drive away is the picturesque National Trust village of Selworthy, on the headland between Porlock and Minehead and close to the South West Coastal Path.This is the historic Yarn Market in the centre of medieval Dunster, just a short drive away.
Walk through the orchard and woodland to this lovely pub at Porlock Weir for lunch and then wander along the beach.The beautiful terraced garden with the orchard and woodland beyond.The scenery is amazing in winter too.

This stunning detached house overlooking pretty Porlock village has far reaching sea views and is an ideal base for walking and exploring. The Orchard is extremely spacious with French windows to the garden from the dual-aspect sitting-room, with its lovely wood-burner, and from the first floor cot-room/study. The open plan kitchen/dining-room adjoins the snug and is a sociable space for all the family. The bedrooms have wonderful views over the gardens, orchard and woodland at the top of the hill, and the master bedroom boasts sea views. There are two sheltered patios and a large enclosed terraced garden as well as the namesake hillside orchard (very steep so take care) where deer often graze.

From the house, a magical track through private woodland links up with the footpaths that lead to Porlock Weir and the coast a mile and a half away. You can stroll into Porlock in minutes for shops, pubs and cafes, and the coastline offers the choice of wide sandy beaches at Minehead or rocky foreshores where the Exmoor National Park meets the cliffs.
