Mousehole needs little or no introduction; fishing boats bob on the sea within the ancient harbour and excellent restaurants and curiosity shops beckon whilst you wander the narrow streets. Nearby resorts such as St Ives, Sennen and Marazion are just a short drive away or, if walking is your pursuit, Lamorna Cove lies just along the headland. Pilchard Cottage is set in a pedestrianised alley just up from the harbour (see photograph, not the view from the property), approached by an enclosed private verandah. You can enter this semi-detached retreat via the kitchen/diner which houses a roaring wood-burner – this welcoming room leads out onto a private enclosed deck which is accessed by a couple of steps. This delightful, reverse level cottage is beautifully appointed with a first floor shower-room, double bedroom and sitting-room, which houses an ornamental fireplace. The ground floor has another shower-room and a bedroom furnished with three single beds, making this a perfect base for a family holiday. Please note that parking is 150 yards distant in the public car park. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
