DescriptionLantern Cottage is part of an enchanting Georgian terrace in the historic working port of Charlestown, where tall ships are moored and boat builders ply their trade. Sensitively restored, this delightful little cottage is truly welcoming, with lovely furniture, fabulous wallpapers and beautiful linens. Many original features remain, with sash windows, low doorways and slate flagstones all enhancing the period feel of the cottage. Comfortable sofas flank an open fire in the sitting-room, which looks out over the lawned garden to the front. The kitchen/dining-room has softly painted units, a small range cooker and a Belfast sink overlooking a little garden at the rear. Upstairs, each bedroom is beautifully furnished, and a small but fully appointed bathroom completes the accommodation. Charlestown has everything required for an enjoyable stay, with pubs, a restaurant, tea-rooms and little shops. The harbourside is a two minute stroll away, with the tall ships almost within touch and access to the beach and coastal footpaths. The Eden Project, Heligan Gardens, the sailing town of Fowey and the fishing port of Mevagissey are all within easy reach by car. AccommodationGround Floor Porch. Entrance hall.
