If you were looking for cottages like Melancoose Mill, how about trying these:

Melancoose Mill, meaning mill in the wood, is of an indeterminable age, as records show that this ancient property was mentioned in surveys as far back as 1334! Grade II Listed and now restored into a beautiful home with an abundance of original features of times past, this stunning and exceptionally spacious former watermill (the waterwheel can still be seen outside – please supervise children) will provide a very secluded and special holiday for all. Set in a magical valley deep in the Cornish countryside and close to the shores of Watergate Bay, Melancoose Mill’s grounds, terraced gardens and pond (please take care with children) complement the peaceful and unique location. The mill inside is a maze of rooms offering space for all and a venue for gatherings of fun, renewing acquaintances and celebration. The very well-equipped kitchen adjoins the dining-area and is perfect for cosy family suppers. Its focal point is the large wood-burner nestling in the granite fireplace and the redundant old workings of the mill. Steps lead to the study and the large conservatory where if you sit really quietly, you may see passing deer, a badger or a fox cub! The numerous bedrooms, two with en suite bathrooms, are on the first and second floors. An additional family bathroom and a shower-room complete the generous accommodation. Melancoose Mill is perfectly situated to explore all of Cornwall; Falmouth, Truro, the Eden Project and other attractions are all within an easy drive. For those just wishing to rest and venture not too far then really Watergate Bay has it all, and is famous now for the restaurant Fifteen Cornwall, the Extreme Sports Academy and a fantastic beach (see photograph). For those wishing to do some shopping then Padstow has to be recommended for all its specialist little shops and unique harbourside atmosphere. A second cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
