One can imagine a sea captain of old scanning the horizon from this four-storey Victorian town house for sight of his ships heading home. Even today, some kind of maritime activity will catch your eye as you take in the views from upstairs. Set up above the village road and only a short walk from the rock pools and sand of Downderry beach, this terraced house (the property with the dormer window) has been lovingly restored, retaining many period details. The spacious sitting-room and three of the bedrooms look out to sea, and a snug offers extra space. The kitchen leads into a dining-room, which opens onto a small terrace where sunset barbecues can be enjoyed (there is only a shared yard to the rear). With numerous beaches and coastal footpaths accessible, bustling Looe nearby, ferries from Kingsand to Plymouth, and the Eden Project to the west, you will want to stay forever! Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
