Description

With breathtaking views from almost every room and astonishingly spacious inside, detached Wotton Granary enjoys a tranquil setting overlooking the beautiful Lynher Valley (see photograph). Perfect for large family get-togethers or groups of friends in any season, and ideally placed for exploring the south coast and all the treasures that both Cornwall and Devon have to offer, this beautifully converted old granary is approached by a quarter-mile long private drive shared with nearby Wotton Stable (1185) and the Owners, who farm the surrounding land. Every room is generously proportioned, with the original roundhouse now a light, sunny sitting-room where a vaulted ceiling and wooden floors enhance the sense of space and openness. There are also four bedrooms on the ground floor, with the fifth bedroom upstairs. Here too is the enormous open plan living-room, with its spectacular far reaching countryside views, well-equipped fitted kitchen, huge farmhouse table and comfortable sofas beside the welcoming wood-burner. French doors open onto steps leading down to the enclosed garden (please take care with children). The property benefits from wireless broadband connection and guests are also welcome to explore the footpaths to and along the river, but the piece de resistance is yet to come – a fabulous heated swimming pool with plexi-glass retractable sides and roof which can be opened in hot sunny weather, shared with guests at Wotton Stable (opening times are 10am to 7pm daily, children to be supervised at all times). With fantastic views across the valley this gorgeous pool will undoubtedly be the highlight of everyone’s holiday, and it will be hard to tear yourselves away from this perfectly idyllic setting. Please note the lower rent band does not apply for holidays beginning on or between 19 May to 2 November and is only applicable for parties of 6 + cot or less. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
