This attractive, detached, late 19th Century farmhouse is in a secluded valley near the hamlet of Coombe, and offers peace and tranquility with stunning countryside views. The property, next door to the welcoming Owners (your only near neighbours), is approached by a farm lane through lush pasture land, an easy drive from either coast, and close to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project and numerous sandy beaches. A short walk away is the Iron Age hill fort Resugga Castle, which guests are invited to explore (crops permitting). Bay Tree Farmhouse has a pretty south-facing garden and the Owners invite guests to use a large, totally separate part of their garden with a stream feeding a natural pond (please take care with toddlers). The interior is decorated in soft muted colours, and there is a small, snug sitting-room with an open fire. The warmth of the oil-fired Rayburn and the comfortable sofa make the kitchen/dining-room the hub of the house. A private lane to Coombe provides a relaxing walk passing pretty woodland and a distant railway viaduct.
