If you were looking for cottages like Drake’s Cottage, how about trying these:

Drake’s Cottage is set on the edge of the main street in the middle of the bustling market town of Sturminster Newton, described by Thomas Hardy as his idyll. Outwardly this little terraced cottage (white cottage in photograph) experiences the coming and goings of the town, but inwardly provides a retreat steeped in history. Ideal for exploring Dorset, this Grade II Listed cottage has been lovingly restored whilst preserving many original features. Antique furniture complements fascinating architectural detail and the open brick fireplace adds authenticity to the aged wood panelling, low beams and braced doors; a turned staircase (regretfully unsuitable for the less mobile) leads to the thoughtfully decorated bedrooms, divided onto two levels. The master bedroom is furnished with a brass bed and bright ginghams, whilst the twin bedroom, up a further flight of stairs, nestles under the eaves. Enhancing these features, the modern Shaker-style kitchen is fully equipped and leads to the enclosed terraced garden.
