Anvil Cottage, as the name suggests, was a working blacksmith’s forge up to a mere 20 years ago. Completely refurbished, yet retaining the original high stone shelf in the chimney where the anvil once stood (now housing an attractive wood-burner), this is a delightful single-storey cottage with just one or two small steps inside. In the middle of the village, beyond the village school, the cottage adjoins the Owner’s home, yet is quite private with a small patio and enclosed garden of its own and some beautiful views over rolling fields at the back. The living-room is very cosy with soft comfortable furnishings and is plenty large enough for a family meal at the end of a day spent discovering the delights of this lovely part of Cornwall. The bedrooms are furnished in pine with bright bed linens and curtains. Jacobstow is a very pretty village and only a short distance from some of the most popular beaches of the north Cornish coast. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot.
