The cottage has an open plan kitchen/diner and three steps leading up to the sitting-room, where French windows open onto the patio. On the first floor is a family bathroom and three further bedrooms, one en suite. An enclosed rear terrace is perfect for children or to relax on after a day visiting nearby historic towns such as Lyme Regis or Honiton or the fabulous Jurassic coastline and beaches at Charmouth and Beer. For those with a culinary interest, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage is a short drive away and there is also his local produce store and canteen in Axminster. There are three excellent golf courses within easy distance as well as the National Trust’s Shute Barton (limited opening), just down the road.
