Tretharrup lies in the rural heart of the Lizard peninsula, close to the beautiful Helford River valley and a short drive from picturesque Cadgwith cove and the sandy beaches at Kennack and Kynance. Set a little way down the drive from Parc Sceba (1848), this lovely old Cornish farmhouse is warmly welcoming, with a cosy wood-burner in the comfortable sitting-room and a huge inglenook fireplace in the traditional dining-room. One double bedroom and a bathroom – with a luxurious whirlpool bath – are downstairs, and two of the three upstairs bedrooms, all beautifully furnished with bespoke furniture, have en suite shower-rooms. Immaculately presented, there is everything a family or group of friends could possibly need for a truly memorable holiday, with lots of space inside and a huge garden complete with a children’s trampoline, barbecue-area and an indoor games-room. Guests need hardly be aware of the farm itself; the house overlooks the garden and is therefore relatively private, but the Owners, who live in a separate, self-contained part of the property, are always delighted to show guests around the farm – you may even be lucky and see some calves!
