Built at the water’s edge on the Hayle estuary, Quayside is a traditional detached house enjoying uninterrupted views of the area’s justly renowned birdlife from all principal rooms. The Owner, who lives nearby at Griggs Quay House (70) runs a tea-room next door serving light refreshments (not open every day). Quayside is completely self-contained and is entered through a well-maintained sunken garden, a wonderful water-side spot for that warm summer evening barbecue. A single ground floor bedroom looking out over the water has its own shower-room next door. The sitting-room has an arch leading to the dining-room and both have doors opening onto the side of the quay (please take care). The spacious double bedroom upstairs, also with estuary views, has an en suite bathroom. Nearby, the railway station of Lelant runs a shuttle service to St Ives with spectacular coastal views. There are many sandy beaches within easy reach as well as the breathtaking coastal footpath to explore.
