With plenty of fireworks and Christmas markets across the county in November, I decided to bring you some of the best alternative events in Somerset. Just as festive and plenty to do for all the family.
As the year draws to a close and the colder weather starts creeping back in, there's still every opportunity to get outside and enjoy all that Somerset has to offer. Whether that's cosying up by the fire with your favourite people or heading out to watch the bright lights of the many carnivals going on across the county.
November's dark nights give me an excuse to stay all cosy indoors in the evenings and winter walks on frosty weekends are my favourite way to start getting into the Christmas spirit. Of course, fireworks are a given in November and as the month progresses you'll find more and more Christmas markets popping up across Somerset.
If fireworks and Christmas markets aren't quite enough to get you feeling slightly festive this November, there's plenty more to explore:
Enjoy the ample amounts of entertainment put on during the day before the carnival makes its way through the town in the evening.
Watch dozens of dazzling illuminated floats make their way through the town making it quite a spectacle.
Talk about a weirdly wonderful event! Head along to Ston Easton Park to learn how to harvest your own loofah and enjoy a two course meal.
Head along to watch the annual spectacle of light and music since 1969.
