November brings the cooler weather and cosy evenings by the fire but the chill is no reason to stay in. Here are some of my favourite events in Devon this month.
November marks the real start of winter for me. The fireworks, cosy hot chocolates and plenty of Christmas shopping make this month one of my favourites. Bonfire night falls on a Saturday this year so I'll definitely be making a weekend of it trying to see as many displays as I can. The build up to Christmas starts here too. Halloween is all done so I'm looking for more celebrations. Christmas markets get me in the festive spirit as do Christmas light switch ons. Any excuse to have a cheeky hot toddy to warm up in the chilly evening air.
Although the weather's getting cooler, there's still plenty to do outdoors. A lovely winter walk on a Sunday morning gets the blood pumping and makes me feel all festive when I see the frost on the fields. A little dip in the sea is another great way to continue enjoying the great outdoors in the winter, just don't forget a thick wet suit to keep you warm.
These are my top picks of November events (apart from the fireworks) in Devon:
2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th
