March events in Devon

Now that we’re three months into the year, it’s time to take a well earned rest. Enjoy a holiday in Devon this March to experience quiet beaches all to yourself, spring flowers decorating the countryside and plenty to keep you busy.

Celebrate spring with community Daffodil days and garden festivals. If the sun makes an appearance head to Dartmoor to march over the hills or nip to the beaches of south Devon to try a new watersport, like stand up paddleboarding. As there are no school holidays in March, you can enjoy the whole county without the crowds. Perfect for making the most of a short break in Devon.

If you’re looking for some extra things to do while away, look no further. Our Devon events will be sure to complement your holiday:

10th March: Dartmouth Farmers’ market

10th to 11th March: Mother’s Day treats at Seaton Wetlands

15th March: What's that bird?

18th March: Hartland Abbey Daffodil Day

24th March: Exeter Symphony Orchestra’s Spring Concert

31st March: Teignmouth Farmers’ market

After spending your days exploring the Devonshire countryside retire to your holiday let. Choose a cottage with a fire for a cosy spot to warm your toes in the evenings or find one with a hot tub to add an extra luxury to your break. Love a spot of cooking? As a kind gesture to your other half, attempt some new recipes in the comfort of your holiday home. Just make sure they know that if you cook, they’ll be doing the washing up.

Don't have time for a March holiday? Our Devon cottages are beautiful at any time of the year.

It’s very tempting to belt out a rendition of something from ‘The Sound of Music’, but all I can manage is ‘Bailey wait for me!’ as she disappears through some brambles.
