July events on the Isle of Wight

July is the peak of summer. Long, hot days and the start of the kids’ summer holidays. It’s a great time to pack up and head to the Isle of Wight for some exploring with your family. Choose a holiday home with a swimming pool as an extra way to keep the kids entertained or opt for a property with a hot tub for added luxury on a holiday with friends. Either way, there’s plenty going on across the island to keep you busy.

The Isle of Wight is steeped in summer celebrations throughout July. From sailing competitions to carnivals, there’s loads going on. Gather some friends together and head away for the weekend; less than an hour’s journey from London and you’ll be on the island, ready for your weekend adventures. Shop ‘til you drop in Newport or Cowes, walk the beaches of Bembridge and Seaview, discover the chalky white cliffs of Freshwater Bay. Add to that one of these epic events or festivals and we know you’ll have a whale of a time.

Take your pick of events across the Isle of Wight this July:

7th July: Annual Round the Island Race

7th July: Ventnor Day

8th July: Isle of Wight Pirate festival

7th to 8th July: Classic Isle Music Festival

28th July: Showing of La La Land at Mottistone Gardens

21st to 27th July: Cowes Classics sailing week

24th July to 30th August: Jungle fever at Robin Hill Country Park

Keep up with island events with a holiday to the Isle of Wight.

Ventnor Haven fishery is a beautiful location to pick up some fresh fish for dinner at your self catering accommodation.
