February events in Dorset

Whether you’re looking for a half term hang out or a Valentine’s escape, February is a fantastic month to stay in a Dorset holiday cottage. Especially with the amazing array of events on offer in the county this month.

February is the month to step outdoors. Blow off those winter cobwebs and step into the throes of spring. The daffodils appear, colour returns to the countryside, and the great outdoors has never been so alluring (compared to the last few months, anyway). Dorset is the ideal place to get outdoors; from the dramatic Jurassic Coast to the hills of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, when it comes to exploring you have plenty of beautiful landscapes to discover.

On top of this, Dorset has a thriving community of gardeners and outdoors enthusiasts. The snowdrop festival this month is sure to pique the interest of those who impatiently wait for the return of spring. There are workshops and talks to attend on various different topics.

As the spring weather returns, Dorset is the perfect location for your break. Spend a short break enjoying a change of scenery at the weekend. Taking three hours from London and just two hours from Bristol, you can get away from it all in no time to relax and take in a breath of fresh air. What better way to say ‘I love you’ for Valentine’s? Or spend some quality time with long distance friends?

Whether you’re looking for a half term hideaway or a cute cottage for Valentine’s, we have a holiday let to suit you. Head to Dorset for a wonderful February break and some of these fantastic events:

Throughout February: Durlston Past exhibition at Durlston Country Park

2nd to 3rd February: Dorchester Beerex

10th February: Shaftesbury Snowdrop festival

10th to 11th February: Tank Museum model show

10th to 18th February: February half term at the Tank Museum

12th February: Durlston Beachcomber Crafts

21st February: Black Cow and Trill Farm dinner with Mark Hix
