As the daffodils and snowdrops return to Cornwall in February, it’s time to pack a bag and make your way west to enjoy all of these wonderful springtime events.
Take a trip to Cornwall this February. From perfectly placed Valentine’s boltholes to half term hang outs for all the family, we’ve got a Cornwall holiday cottage to suit you. The county comes to life at this time of year as spring plants emerge from the ground and you can see a few more blue skies through the grey clouds. You could even take a refreshing dip in the sea, although a wet suit is a must even for the bravest amongst you. The temperature is warming up but the water is still bitterly cold.
Spend your days walking along the golden sands of the north coast or stomping the coastal paths of the Lizard, soaking up the picturesque views while snuggled up in a big coat and scarf. After a beach wander, stop in at the cafe for a hot chocolate or a traditional Cornish cream tea. And don’t forget to get yourself a pasty! It isn’t a holiday in Cornwall otherwise.
If you’re lucky, there will be a few warm days where you can feel the summer starting to set in. This is when I start to reminisce about barbeques on the beach and late nights playing in the sea until the sun sets. Remembering how lovely Cornwall is in the summer might make you consider your summer holiday plans, especially after seeing how beautiful Gwithian beach is at sunset.
Of course, February half term also falls within this month. These events aren’t directly aimed at half term visitors, although some of them may be good fun with the kids.
For all this and more, stay in a cottage in Cornwall.
