Easter activities in Devon

Whether you’re planning a mega school holiday break or just a short break over the Easter weekend, there’s loads of things to do in Devon over the school holiday. Take a peek at our list of eggcellent events in the county to celebrate spring and the arrival of the Easter bunny.

Pack up the kids, print off some car journey activities and head to the South and West for a spring break among the sand dunes or meandering through green forests filled with life. Whatever the weather you’ll find something on our list to keep the kids entertained, plus you’ll have some pretty Easter crafts to display when you get home, reminding you of a cracking holiday.

2nd to 22nd April: Cadbury Easter egg hunt at Agatha Christie’s Greenway

Gather your baskets and set off on the Cadbury Easter egg hunt at Agatha Christie’s Greenway. Hunt high and low with a magical view of the River Dart, find all the clues and unscramble them to claim your prize. 

6th to 22nd April: Easter egg hunt at Saltram house

Join the National Trust for a Easter egg hunt at Saltram house. Follow the route around the grounds and earn yourself a Cadbury's chocolate egg.

6th to 22nd April: Heddon Valley spring nature trail

The Great Outdoors beckons in springtime and what better way to get back to your roots than a nature trail? Follow the paths through the Heddon Valley to try your hand at new activities and see the Easter plants blooming.

6th to 22nd April: A La Ronde Easter egg hunt

Join the team at A La Ronde for the Cadbury egg hunt and garden games in the Orchard. Tons of Easter family fun to enjoy together.

9th and 16th April: Castle Drogo crafty castle capers

Get your hands dirty with crafty activities at Castle Drogo. Things could get a little messy, the only way it should be when kids get crafting. With a variety of things to do for all ages, this is great for all the family.

Explore the lush green hills and valleys of Devon this Easter. 

13th to 22nd April: Meet the spring lambs at Arlington Court

Along with a whole host of Easter events, the team at Arlington Court are offering visitors the chance to meet the new spring lambs in their flock. Spend a lovely afternoon experiencing Devonshire spring wildlife. 

16th April: Woodland Easter bunny face-making at Lydford Gorge

Raise your Easter spirits with some nature art – make an Easter bunny face in the woodlands at Lydford Gorge. Make a quick rabbit nose and ears or put in all your efforts and spend hours find the right twigs and stones to bring your bunny to life.

19th to 22nd April: Easter activities at Pennywell Farm

Join the team at Pennywell farm for some exciting Easter activities that are made to get little ones eggcited. You can also see plenty of animals up close and personal, whether you want to cuddle a guinea pig or pet a cow, Pennywell is a great place to teach kids about farm life.

19th to 22nd April: Easter family fun at Knightshayes

Run around the grounds of Knightshayes with various activities and puzzles to complete, these Easter fun days are packed full of chicks, bunnies and eggs to keep you in the spring spirit for days afterwards.
