PUB PHILOSOPHY IN THE STICKS
In early 2012 we spent an evening at The Tree Inn in Stratton on the north Cornwall coast near the border. It was quite a night with some great characters who told us stories you couldn’t make up and a band that had us dancing like fools after midnight. We awoke with sore but happy heads and a book full of scrawled notes about the local area. The next day, we chased up as many of their tips and must-sees
as we could before dusk. If the pub is the hub, then The Tree Inn is the epicentre of all things good within a half-hour radius. On behalf of Bob, Emma and everyone at The Tree Inn, we give you 24 hours out and about in Stratton, Bude and beyond.
"A pub’s not just about drinking. Work happens in a pub. You meet people who teach you things. Learn to spoof, my father said, and you’ll never be skint in a pub again.”
