Remember remember…it’s Bonfire Night soon! And guess what? This year it falls on a Saturday, so why not make a weekend of it? There are loads of fantastic fireworks events happening up and down Cornwall, so grab a toffee apple and a sparkler and get involved!

Heartlands, Pool
Saturday 5th November 2016

This is the fifth year Heartlands has put on a bonfire and firework night. Thanks to an increase in popularity with firework fun seekers, the event is very well attended – so much so Heartlands is currently crowdfunding to help fund the evening of entertainment. It’s a free event, but it’s becoming harder to manage as costs of safety equipment and infrastructure go up with the number of visitors. As well as the fireworks display they’ll be fairground rides, food stalls, a bar, live music and more!

Tremorvah Playing Fields, Truro
Friday 4th November 2016

Head to Truro on Friday night to join in with the annual bonfire night festivities. The display is held by the Tremorvah Playing Fields Group in association with Truro City Council and generously sponsored by local solicitors Stephens Scown. Entry is £3 for adults, £1 for children and under-4s are free. As well as providing visitors with a fantastic night of entertainment, it’s raising money for Cornwall Air Ambulance and Penhaligon's Friends. There’ll be hot food on sale with more stalls selling snacks, glow-sticks and sparklers. Oh and any child that brings along a guy will enjoy free entry. Judging will be by Truro’s Mayor, Councillor Rob Nolan!

Flambards, Helston
Monday 24th and Wednesday 26th October 2016

Due to its popularity with school age folk, Flambards are holding their Firework extravaganza over the October half term. Admission is £19.94 for adults and £14.95 for children, so families can enjoy a day out and stay for the evening fireworks display. Thrill seekers will love the sky high rides and history lovers will enjoy exploring the life-size Victorian Village!

Tencreek Holiday Park, Looe
Saturday 5th November 2016

If you’ve got some little ones, you might want to head to Looe to watch the fireworks display at Tencreek Holiday Park. As well as Fireworks kids can meet Deano the Dolphin and Sparky the Sharky and they’ll be a cabaret on after the fireworks.  A bar and refreshments will also be available. Entry is £4 for adults, £1 for kids or £10 for a family ticket. All profits will be donated to local youth charities.

Tregony Sports Field, Tregony
Saturday 5th November 2016

As well as the annual fireworks display and bonfire, they’ll be a BBQ, sweet treats and other refreshments available. Kids will love the glow in the dark toys and they’ll be sparklers on sale too. Join in with the ‘best dressed guy’ competition which takes place at 7pm. Admission is £4 for adults and £3 for children.
