Best dog friendly beaches in Devon

The time of year when doggy restrictions come into play is from Easter to October, when only a limited number of beaches continue to allow dogs between 8am and 7pm. This can be disappointing for many dog owners but fear not, there are still a number of beautiful beaches available to everyone. We’ve compiled the top 5 dog friendly beaches for Devon, so that wherever your holiday takes you, your four-legged friend can come too.

Crow Point Beach, Braunton

Crow Point is situated at the most southerly point of Braunton Burrows, and is a favourite spot for nature lovers of both the two and four-legged varieties.

Wonwell Beach, Kingston

A beautiful, peaceful beach, Wonwell opens up to a reveal a lovely sandy bay when the tide is out. Why not bring your dog along to explore.

Row Cove, Ivybridge

This lovely sand and rock cove near Ivybridge is surrounded by lush countryside: a doggy haven.

Salcombe North Sands, Salcombe

Tucked away between two headlands, Salcombe North Sands is part of an area of outstanding natural beauty, and best of all, it’s dog-friendly.

Ness Cove Beach, Shaldon

Ness Cove is a shingle beach, situated at the foot of Ness Headland. With a gentle slope running down to the water’s edge, you’ll have hours of fun with your dog.
