World Pasty Championships 2015

28 February will see the biggest event in the Cornish calendar – The World Pasty Championships!

Held at the Eden Project, visitors and competitors alike will flock from all over the world to put the great pasty to the test. With entrants from as far as the Americas and Australia, the traditional pasty will be measured against more unusual recipes to see who comes up trumps.

Here at Classic we put the ultimate question to our staff: who does the best pasty?

The results were varied and the source of heated debate, but ultimately our victor was named as the Horse and Jockey bakery in Helston, with other names featured including Philps, Choakes Pasties and Ann’s Pasties.

Who would be your champ? Vote on Facebook:

Pasty or no?

I definitely had that ‘on holiday’ feeling whilst dining in Looe at this authentic Thai restaurant. It’s safe to say I’ll be back in Looe soon.
