The closest beaches are around Ventnor, Shanklin and Sandown: long stretches of golden sand flanked by the promenade make them great for long walks with dogs (or kids, if they’re feeling particularly energetic) as you can stay safe from the sea up on the prom or splash amongst the waves in the warmer weather.
