The Dairy is a charming, newly renovated cottage, perfectly placed within the Yorkshire Dales yet close to the Forest of Bowland and the delights of the Lake District. Situated amongst the most beautiful tranquil countryside with fantastic walks, breathtaking views of Ingleborough and a peaceful location, The Dairy really is a place to really relax and unwind. This pretty cottage overlooks the farmyard to the front and has a fabulous outlook from the private raised decking to the rear, Ingleborough can be seen in the distance.

The light-filled kitchen has a contemporary feel with a glass lean to style design, opening up beautiful views of the countryside or valley. The well-equipped kitchen has all the equipment you need to create culinary masterpieces and a beautiful large, reclaimed dining-table to enjoy your creations or just sit and chat to the chef. Leading from the kitchen is a raised decking area, just the place to sit and enjoy the sunshine with a morning coffee or enjoy the twinkling stars in the night sky, a haven for stargazers. The sitting-room is a cosy retreat whatever the season, perfect for relaxing after a day on the fells. Warm your toes by the wood-burner and cosy up on the large sofa, read a book or catch up on the latest films. You will find a useful shower-room on the ground floor incorporating the washer and tumble-drier.

The bedroom is large and airy with magnificent views into the distance and overlooking the rolling countryside beyond. The bathroom has both a bath to soak tired legs and a large shower cubicle.

The Dairy offers a perfect couples getaway for those looking for a peaceful retreat to enjoy country living in a beautiful setting, with a wealth of activities, great pubs, restaurants and cafes close by.

Dogs will be accepted after 27 September 2024.

The Dairy is situated in a perfect position to take advantage of all that the Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and the Lake District have to offer, and a great base for those doing the three-peak challenge. Locally you will find the delightful and picturesque village of Clapham with its 650 year old St James's Church, award-winning community shop, welcoming pubs with great food and for the more energetic Ingleborough Cave and Gaping Gill. Yorkshire Life described this lovely village as "The sparkling jewel of the Yorkshire Dales".

Close by is the famous Settle to Carlisle railway, the villages, towns and cities of Settle, Ingleton, Kirkby Lonsdale, Leeds, Skipton, Ribblehead, Dent and Appleby can be easily reached in the car or by railway. The cycling and walking opportunities are endless, the Forest of Bowland is just the place to explore if you enjoy the outdoor life. Ingleton is known for its picturesque Waterfalls Trail, a four mile circular route that takes you beside rivers and through ancient woodland, providing views of dramatic waterfalls along the way. The White Scar Cave is well worth a visit. Explore the Ice Age cavern on a guided walk, taking you past underground streams and waterfalls, as well as prehistoric mud pools and thousands of stalactites.

For those who like a challenge completing the three peaks is a must, you are supposed to achieve this in under 12 hours, give it a go! The Lake District National Park is only a short drive away with its lakes and fells, take a cruise or scale the heights of the fells, the choice is yours. Whatever you choose to do and wherever you decide to visit, you will look forward to returning to the warm welcome of The Dairy.
