Garden Cottage is a delightful two-bedroom cottage which forms part of a 200-year-old Listed farmhouse and sits in the small hamlet of Little Habton close to the popular Market town of Malton. Little Habton is found on the edge of the North York Moors and the Howardian Hills which are a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With its cottage style interiors and rural location, Garden Cottage is a perfect "get away from it all" break. You can enjoy local walking, explore the moors and dales or marvel at the magnificent cliffs, beaches and coves of the east coast or, of course, just enjoy the peace of the garden looking over fields of sheep.

Garden Cottage offers very comfortable living space where contemporary and cottage style sit happily side by side and has many features to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The downstairs living area is complemented by a well-equipped Shaker-style kitchen complete with all mod-cons incorporating a cleverly designed seating and dining area with banquette type seats perfect for friends and family to chat whilst the cook rustles up a delicious meal from local produce. A welcome hamper filled with local goodies will await you. Adjacent to the kitchen is an entrance hall which houses a washer/drier and plenty of room to hang coats and dry off your muddy boots after a trek around the fields and moors. The sitting-room is a lovely cosy space, the wood-burner is sat within an attractive surround and keeps you warm and toasty whatever the weather and a small cloakroom with WC leads off the sitting-room.

Upstairs there are two elegant bedrooms decorated in muted tones, the epitome of English country style. Sink back into comfy mattrasses and luxurious linens and rest your head on fluffy pillows to experience total relaxation. After a great night's sleep wake up to the sound of birdsong. For your comfort one bedroom has an en suite shower-room and there is a second bathroom with shower for the second bedroom giving great flexibility for both friends and family. Both feature Egyptian cotton towels, Bath House toiletries, rain head showers and under-floor heating.

Step out of the front door and you enter the small, paved courtyard and lawned area with table and chairs and barbecue, this area is a real sun-trap and looks over the fields full of grazing sheep. Why not begin your morning outside at the patio table and enjoy a refreshing cup of tea whilst preparing for a day exploring all Yorkshire has to offer and then, later on, sit back with a glass of something fizzy and relax as the sun goes down.

This lovely cottage is an ideal getaway and a perfect base to explore Malton, York and the surrounding areas. The owners are on site and so is The Workshop (5153), ideal for a larger party of family or friends to book both together. Enjoy a weekend or longer, there is plenty to keep you amused. For the history buffs there are castles and museums, for the energetic, walking, hiking and cycling, for the foodies Malton is the food capital of the north and for those who love a bit of retail therapy Harrogate and York are within easy reach, whatever your interests a stay at Garden Cottage is sure to deliver.
