As you step over the threshold this bright cottage instantly delights with its slate floored reception hall and two of its three pretty and perfectly formed ground floor bedrooms. Both bedrooms offer sumptuous beds, gorgeous linens and thoughtful styling creating the perfect space to rest and recharge each day. The larger of these bedrooms also offers flexibility with a 'zip and link' bed creating a twin or double room as required. The main door opens up onto those lovely views and a beautiful private garden, spend time with family or friends enjoying a barbecue feast as the sun sets and reminisce about the adventures you have had and are yet to come.
Climb the stairs to truly appreciate the benefits of reverse level living where your eye will naturally be drawn through to the open plan, light and bright sitting/dining-room and the views from all windows across the surrounding countryside and sea glimpses on a clear day. On those chillier days fire up the wood-burner, sit back and snuggle down to read a book or watch a family film on the Smart TV. The well-equipped and stylish kitchen is perfect for cooking up a hearty breakfast before a day of exploring this beautiful part of the world.
From the kitchen there is a second set of stairs that you walk down to access the third bedroom on the ground floor. Overlooking the courtyard garden you wake up to soft morning sun filtering in through the tall window and if you are lucky the local magpie will tap its beak on the glass as a natural alarm call, but it's okay, he doesn't get up too early.
There is a lockable storage area with a hose, so you can rinse off your kit after a fun day at the beach.
Coast View is set to become a firm favourite with our guests and once discovered you may just want to return time and time again.
This area of north Devon offers an escape with everything from unspoilt countryside to dramatic coastline with sandy beaches and hidden coves. There are many local restaurants and numerous beach cafes all within a short drive away. A must has to be a visit to Hartland point and the iconic white lighthouse and of course Hartland Abbey, the backdrop to many period dramas. One of the best Inns in the area can be found in Woolsery - the Farmers Arms is in the heart of the village, and there is a fish and chip shop too. Lundy Island is only a boat trip away, set sail from Bideford Quay for a day to remember, and there are beautiful sandy beaches at Bude which also has a tidal pool or Westwood Ho! with a lovely long beach and surf school. Not forgetting the wonderful galleries and cafes at Instow, which is rich with maritime themes and links to the sea.
Once discovered, north Devon will become a favourite destination!
