Wind your way along the leafy country lanes to the blissful rural tranquility that awaits you at The Lambing Shed, which from its humble roots has been lovingly converted to an immaculately presented luxury holiday cottage. Surrounded by open countryside and green fields this is the ultimate place to relax and unwind, admiring the far reaching views of the dramatic beauty of Dartmoor in one direction and Bodmin Moor in the other, yet being only 10 miles from the clifftop walks, beaches and coastal villages of north Cornwall it is also a perfect base for exploring.

Beautifully, imaginatively and creatively styled with quality evident throughout, the friendly but discreet owners, who live close by, have taken great pride in ensuring you have the most comfortable of stays. Spend time together in the open plan living-room, from cooking up a feast in the stylish kitchen with painted cupboards, wooden worksurface and open wooden shelving, to lingering over holiday meals at the industrial-style dining-table and snuggling up on the sofa at the end of a perfect day where the wood-burner effect electric stove creates a wonderful glow – perfect for those out-of-season breaks. Both bedrooms have the most comfortable of beds, dressed with luxury linens and adorned with fabulous cushions and throws, to ensure that you have a great night's sleep.

Outside the magic continues as the setting is quite stunning. Whilst relaxing in the garden or dining in the great outdoors, listen to the bird song, spot wildlife at it passes by and at night enjoy the spectacle that reveals itself overhead as the star studded sky sparkles before you.

So for those looking for a special holiday at any time of the year, The Lambing Shed really does fit the bill.

This is an excellent location for lovers of the great outdoors and the opportunities for exploration are endless.

Don your walking boots and discover the 100 square miles of dramatic wilderness and desolate beauty of Bodmin Moor or venture to the coast to hit the coastal footpath which is simply breathtaking and could occupy you for an entire week alone! A day at the quintessential fishing village of Boscastle is a must and at neighbouring Tintagel unravel the myths and legends of King Arthur. The coast is littered with great beaches including Trebarwith Strand, Widemouth Bay, Rock and Polzeath, perfect for surfing, rock pooling or simply dipping your toes in the water. The historic house and garden at Lanhydrock (National Trust) are quite spectacular as is the world renowned Eden Project. After all the fresh air you'll need to 'refuel' and there are lots of great places to try – celebrity chefs Rick Stein, Nathan Outlaw and Paul Ainsworth will tempt you in Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock, and the pubs at St Tudy and St Kew have a great reputation, but closer to the home you'll enjoy some great Cornish hospitality in the local pub which is only a mile down the road.
