Enjoy snuggling down in front of cosy the wood-burner on a cooler day or perhaps after a day out exploring this magical part of Cornwall – it is just a lovely spot to put those feet up.
Upstairs you will find two charming bedrooms and the family bathroom; the bedrooms are decorated in calming tones for that relaxing deep sleep. The master bedroom is very tranquil at the back of the property and the second bedroom is at the front with a single bed and a bespoke cabin bed, which is perfect for a younger member of the family.
The semi-detached cottage has a patio at the front of the property, which enjoys sheltered sunshine, where you can watch village life pass you by and you can see The Royal Oak, which is only a stone's throw away. Discover the secret garden by the stream, tucked away down the private path; this peaceful and private garden is fun for games, perhaps an evening drink or a leisurely lunch. There is also a handy shed to store bikes, kayaks or paddleboards.
You can enjoy a car-free holiday with the local train service to Falmouth and Truro, or take the bus to explore further afield as there are many places to enjoy discovering by car in this delightful corner of the county. The coastal town of Falmouth is only 10 minutes away and is filled with lovely shops, restaurants and beaches – and just across the water is St Mawes so why not take a ferry or boat to see what wildlife you can spot on the way.
The village shop is nearby, there is a very good and friendly village pub – The Royal Oak, which is definitely worth booking, and a pleasant 10 minute walk away is the very popular Norway Inn. Loe Beach is also a short drive away and is the ideal spot for launching onto the water, there are paddleboards available to hire so you can go exploring the creeks and estuaries.
Ancarva has many beautiful walks from the front doorstep and there is also the stunning South West Coast Path to enjoy around the Roseland peninsula and Helford River. The cyclist is also catered for with the Devoran to Portreath Bissoe trail literally adjacent to the village. This property is perfectly located for a holiday with plenty for everyone to do, whether it be family, friends or a couple's retreat.
