"Wow!" will definitely be your first word when you arrive at gorgeous Tregwelan Shepherd's Hut. With spectacular views of the Camel Estuary and the delights of Padstow just a 20 minute walk via the Camel Trail, this a special retreat that you will return to time and time again. Approached along a partly unmade track, there are no neighbours for 150 yards - apart from the friendly but unobtrusive owners in whose garden this lovely shepherd's hut is tucked away in the corner of.

Beautifully styled inside, every detail and item has been thoughtfully put together and provided. The well-equipped kitchen area is complete with a kettle (for that all-important morning cuppa!), fridge, toaster and 2 ring induction hob - great for rustling up those morning fry ups, served on the most gorgeous crockery made by the owner's sister. The cleverly-designed dining-table and benches convert with ease into the comfy double bed - lazy mornings spent gazing at the stupendous view are a must - and superfast WiFi means you can keep in touch with the outside world if you wish to. The cosy wood-burner will keep you toasty whatever the weather and there is, of course, a modern en suite shower-room complete with hot and cold running water and flushing loo.

But that's not all, outside you can snooze on the sun-loungers, dine al fresco at the picnic table, cook up a storm on the barbecue or toast some marshmallows on the fire-pit until your heart's content. This really is an idyllic setting for a holiday where you can relax, recharge and enjoy some quality time together.

If you can bear to tear yourselves away, there is so much to see and do nearby - you don't even have to get back in the car if you don't want to; Tregwelan is the perfect place to stay for walkers and cyclists alike. First and foremost, exploring the Camel Trail, whether it be on foot or by bike, is a must - the owners even provide somewhere for you to safely store your bikes. Just a 20 minute walk along the trail will take you along the Camel Estuary (a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty) to the bustling fishing village of Padstow, where you will find gastronomic delights in abundance as well as shops, galleries, pubs and cafes galore. There are also a whole host of festivals and celebrations that take place throughout the year.

The town of Wadebridge is close by too, offering independent shopping, a fantastic choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants - if you're heading out on the Camel Trail why not stop off here for a well-deserved cream tea? Hop on a boat across the estuary to the water sports hub of Rock, complete with butcher, baker, brewery and a few trendy labels to boot!

For beach days, there is plenty of choice with Constantine Bay, Harlyn Bay, Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock all around 20 minutes away by car. If you fancy having a go at water sports, there are numerous options available nearby from water skiing to mackerel fishing and, for golf-lovers, St Enodoc and Trevose are easily reached by car.
