This little gem of a cottage has been lovingly renovated to the highest standard, creating a stylish and comfortable place to relax in the heart of beautiful Cornwall. Snuggled up in crisp Egyptian cotton sheets in the cosy king-size bed, you will wake up to the gentle morning chorus in this rural retreat. The sitting-room is flooded with natural light and has double doors opening onto a private south-facing private terrace where you can bring the outside in. Merrivale Barn has two luxurious sun loungers tucked away in your private garden where you can soak up the rays or perhaps stargaze into the night at this romantic getaway. The contemporary kitchen will fulfil all your culinary needs and is the perfect place to cook your loved one breakfast in bed, what a treat.
The charming reverse-level barn is set over three floors taking full advantage of the light and the views over the countryside and garden where you will hopefully spot some of the local wildlife; from hedgehogs to owls, it has been compared to "Spring Watch" in the past. Your only neighbours are the owners who live close by in a detached property, ensuring privacy on your holiday.
Whether you like to explore Cornwall or want a relaxing staycation, Merrivale Barn will fit all your needs. The pretty village of Constantine is nearby – Constantine Stores is well worth a visit with over 2,000 whiskies, 430 gins and 1,400 wines to choose from, quite a feat for a small village shop. There are many lovely places to eat within easy reach, Potager Garden and Glasshouse Cafe is only a short walk away, they serve breakfast, lunch, tea and cake all day! (open February to October). The Trengilly Wartha Inn is at the top of a beautiful creek and there are many walks here to explore.
The barn is perfectly situated for discovering this unspoilt part of Cornwall; The Helford is very attractive and easy to explore from the barn and the coastal town of Falmouth is only a short drive away with the sandy beaches of Maenporth, Swanpool and Gyllyngvase to enjoy. The Lizard is within easy reach too with its rugged coastline and stunning beaches. There is plenty to do near Merrivale Barn and here you will make memories of a great holiday any time of the year.
