The superb location of this gorgeous cottage gives unrestricted views over Restronguet Creek from every room, with the glass-fronted first floor sitting-room and balcony providing an amazing outlook across the water. Renovated to the highest standard, Chycoose Cottage has eco-friendly air source under-floor heating throughout, ensuring comfort whatever the weather. The luxurious interior mixes contemporary glass, oak and stone resin fittings with original artwork and statement vintage furniture. Located in the creekside hamlet of Point, this is bird watching paradise: awake to birdsong in the morning and watch the colony of swan which nest along the river bank, or the myriad of wading birds like curlew, sandpiper and godwits, patrolling the mudflats at low tide. A truly fabulous cottage, this is holiday heaven indeed.
Semi-detached Chycoose Cottage has split-level accommodation with a half flight of open stairs leading to the sitting-room on the first floor, positioned to make the most of the wonderful views. Light floods in from the tall French doors and the almost invisible glass balcony allows the water to be seen even when sitting down. The beautifully appointed kitchen/dining-room is on the ground floor with doors to the split-level, south-facing waterfront terrace, the perfect place for outdoor meals and evening drinks. Dinghies and kayaks can be launched from here at high tide (steps lead down to the foreshore) or from Point Quay along the lane. The master bedroom is on the lower ground floor and has an en suite wet-room and doors directly onto the terrace. The two additional bedrooms (one with 'zip and link' beds offering double or twin accommodation) and family bathroom are a half flight of open stairs above the sitting-room, and all share the superb water views. There is easy access to the nearby sailing town of Falmouth, the King Harry Ferry that crosses to the Roseland peninsula, and the pretty Cathedral City of Truro. There is parking outside for a medium-sized car – VW Golf or smaller, as the space is tight, although you can usually find additional parking on the quiet road just 200 yards away if you prefer.
