If you were looking for cottages like Cider Press at Midleydown, how about trying these:

The gorgeous Cider Press is a great family retreat, set on a 260 acre farm in the heart of east Devon, just a few miles from the popular market town of Honiton and close to the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The first of three stunning, sturdy, super-sized safari tents in a spacious meadow, Cider Press is carefully positioned so that it is not overlooked by its neighbour and there is a wonderful panoramic rural view from the large veranda.

Inside, the extra roomy tent is not only great fun, with all of its welcoming and ingenious touches including cleverly wired in lighting (so there are no sockets) and even a wired in hair-dryer too, but is really luxurious and comfortable too. The lovely open plan living-room is complete with squishy sofa (perfect for cosying up on), dining-table with enough room for everyone, well-equipped kitchen including a two-ring electric hob and fridge/freezer, and comfy king-size cabin bed and dressing-area.

There is also a wood-fired range, which doubles up as a cooking and heating appliance (logs are provided) - with the bonus of partial central heating too (in the bedroom areas, shower-room and cloakroom), year-round cosiness is ensured and USB sockets are provided for charging your devices. Just beyond the living area are the two pretty bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with a king-size bed, and both with thick sprung mattresses and lots of storage in the form of quirky apple crates. In true luxury glamping style, there is a shower-room (with 5-foot walk-in shower) and a further wash-room at the back of the tent, both, of course, with wash-basin, flushing loo, hot and cold running water and heated towel rails too.

Outside is just as special as inside here - the veranda itself has lovely furniture with comfy cushions (great for enjoying the view from) and, just down the steps on the decking, is the fabulous whirlpool electric hot tub. The huge meadow stretches out in front of the tent, where the children can run around to their hearts' content and there is a picnic table and barbecue for al fresco cooking and dining.
