Great location, nice layout of the cottage and lovely sauna!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Old Coastguards. The location is wonderful and peaceful - just 10 minutes from the ferry at Yarmouth, yet deep in beautiful country-side (and the pub down the lane was one of the best we found). The character, layout and furnishing/decor of the property is generally very good.

It is, however, let down by inadequate bath/shower facilities and a seeming lack of attention to detail.

We would like to visit again, but would really hope those issues had been addressed, in which case this property would be excellent.

Thanks so much for taking the time to review Old Coastguards - it's great to see that you enjoyed the location so much. The property owners have plans to upgrade the bath/shower facilities within the next year, but we'll share your thoughts with them in case there is any scope for this to be brought forward. A fantastic cottage and the location for walking to Tenison’s Monument and the Needles is perfect. We will stay here again.

Everything was very well thought out, it was a home from home, we felt very comfortable there and didn’t want to leave.

Great cottage and everyone at Classic Cottages/Wight Locations were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

A lovely cottage for a family holiday with dog, in a great location, with walks straight from the door.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old Coastguards, a truly ideal setting at the base of Tennyson Down which we would walk daily with our dog Darcey. We will definitely return next year as soon as available to book, great location base for exploring West Wight.

A lovely quirky cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location. Great terrace outside kitchen and lovely garden. Short walk along narrow road to footpaths to the downs and Needles.

Following a blustery walk on Tennyson's Downs, that sit on your doorstep, there can be no more cosy and heart-warming welcoming than the Old Coastguard's
