There are superb views over Falmouth harbour from this lovely family house, perfect for watching the yachts, dinghies, cruise liners and naval ships out on the water and the comings and goings from the harbour and docks below.

This pretty, detached house is set on a quiet residential road above the town centre, just a short walk from the shops, restaurants, yacht harbour and ferries in the town centre and less than a mile from Falmouth's fabulous sandy beaches.

With accommodation on three levels there are plenty of vantage points and the split-level design is ideal for families or groups of friends with bedrooms and bathrooms on the top and lower ground floors and the accommodating open plan living-room in between.

Chy Lowen and its wonderful views can be enjoyed in comfort throughout the year as its Victorian-style exterior hides full double-glazing and central heating, so storm watching in winter can prove as delightful as yacht watching in summer!

At ground floor level the open plan living-room has two big windows to encompass the view – one kitted out with armchairs and binoculars and the other with a chunky dining-table – a comfortable sitting-area and a fully equipped kitchen-area, complete with two under-counter fridges (one with a 25 litre freezer).

The lower ground floor has two bedrooms (one en suite) separated by the family bathroom, and doors out to a spacious terrace facing out towards the sea. The top floor is virtually self-contained, having a bedroom, shower-room and sitting-room with a tiny kitchen-area, perfect for teenagers or those preferring a little peace.

There is plenty nearby to explore on foot, with Events Square – host to many of Falmouth's most prestigious activities including Falmouth Sailing Week, the Oyster Festival and Sea Shanty Festival – just half a mile away and sandy Gyllyngvase beach slightly further.

The coastal footpath passes around Pendennis Head and on past beaches and coves towards The Lizard, and renowned Cornish gardens on the Helford River are a delight to explore.
