Located just outside the pretty village of Exbourne, the majestic wilderness of Dartmoor National Park is close by and the stunning coasts of north and south Devon equidistant.
This simply stunning semi-detached cottage has been lovingly restored by the creative owners to bring you the dreamiest property. Every room has the 'wow' factor, and the sitting-room is no exception, with a fabulous wood-burner and bespoke furniture. Floor to ceiling windows let the light flood in, the Smart TV and Bluetooth Sonas speakers will entertain you after a day of exploring this beautiful part of the world.
Walk through to the kitchen/diner and you will notice the curved walls, cleverly designed in keeping with the charming, curved exterior. Back to the kitchen and here you will find everything you need to cook a holiday masterpiece whilst the gorgeous dining-table allows your guests to sit and chat about the day ahead.
Climb the stairs to the two bedrooms with en suite shower-rooms. Bedroom one is exquisite, with a king-size bed and sublime linens for a great night's sleep. Exbourne is a pretty Devon village situated on the old holiday route to Bude and north Devon. Swallows Nest is perfectly placed here and within walking distance of the local pub The Red Lion. A short drive away The Duke of York at Iddesleigh serves locally-sourced home-cooked food and has been voted one of the top five country pubs in the UK by Countryfile magazine. With countryside walks on your doorstep, the Tarka Trail is close by, you may never want to explore further! If you do decide to travel, the traditional market town of Okehampton is a short car journey away, perfect for stocking up on holiday essentials and the gateway to Dartmoor National Park.
Dartmoor is home to Castle Drogo, a fabulous 20th Century castle and gardens designed by Sir Edward Lutyens and overlooking the Teign Gorge. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the miles of wilderness and stunning views waiting to be explored either on foot or bike.
