Taking a stroll out of the village down to the sea and along the beautiful south Devon coastal path is a real pleasure on a summer evening. Walking the dog has never been so pleasurable. On returning to characterful Pooks Hill Cottage, enjoy a soak in the bath followed by cosying up in front of the glorious wood-burner - what a fabulous way to end the day!

All offering something rather special, from numerous eateries and welcoming watering holes to sandy beaches and seaside attractions galore. Enjoying some quality time in these sought-after holiday hotspots, whilst residing in this beautiful semi-detached cottage, will prove just what the doctor ordered when it comes to relaxation and rejuvenation.
Getting out and about is a must in this super popular area. With several beaches within close proximity, along with the beautiful south Devon coastal path which takes you on a magical journey along and around the numerous beaches, coves and cliffs, adventure and exploration is plentiful and unrivalled in this superb part of Devon.
Teignmouth and Shaldon are fabulous hotspots and both within a few miles from Pooks Hill Cottage. Teignmouth offers a very traditional seaside feel with all the fun of the amusements and seaside entertainment, whilst Shaldon offers a slightly more relaxed way of life. Shaldon boasts a small zoo, a beautiful sandy beach, numerous award-winning restaurants and a great beach to fish from should you wish, so don't forget your rods.
Dawlish Warren and Exmouth are also only a short car journey away and are most certainly worth a day trip out to experience their delights, not to mention their super popular sandy beaches.
Venturing slightly further afield will find you in well-known towns and villages such as Dartmouth and Brixham, both of which boast their very own attractions and appeal. Brixham is a bustling harbourside town which never sleeps, providing a very special spectacle at any time of the year and whatever the weather. Littered with numerous eateries, cocktail bars, a Blue Flag beach and even an outdoor seawater swimming pool. Not forgetting the stunning Berry Head National Nature Reserve which sits proudly overlooking the bay and out to sea. A great spot for sightseeing or enjoying a cream tea at the Guard House cafe whilst soaking up the breathtaking views.
The delightful naval town of Dartmouth is also a fabulous day out. Marvelling at the stunning watercraft whilst enjoying a spot of fish and chips on the harbour front is the perfect way to spend any sunny Devon day.
