What a super little cottage this is and a great base for that much needed break in north Cornwall. Set around a small courtyard of converted barns on the edge of the rural village of St Wenn, where peace and tranquility awaits, you are just a short drive from the fabulous coast with its glorious beaches, wonderful coastal walks and not forgetting Cornwall's foodie capital, Padstow.

Set all on one level and wonderfully warm and welcoming, Bray Cottage is located on the ground floor of this two-storey barn conversion. Cosy and bijou, the open plan living-room is so comfortable and with a real fire you will feel even more snug during chillier months. The galley kitchen is amazingly well-equipped and is mainly hidden from the rest of the room, so you won't have to look at the dishes!

The two pretty bedrooms, one double and one single with trundle bed, have a real cottage feel about them and they share the family bathroom which has a shower over the bath if you don't have time to enjoy a leisurely soak. Outside you can enjoy lazy holiday breakfasts on the sheltered terrace or perhaps fire up the barbecue and enjoy an evening feast but with so many great places to eat and drink close by why not enjoy some of the local hospitality?

Fashionable Padstow has set the trend across the county for quality cuisine with a great choice of places to eat and drink and you can do a bit of celebrity chef spotting along the way and perhaps hop on the ferry and enjoy the sail across to Rock. The gorgeous beaches of Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay are nearby and for the adventurous types you can try your hand at surfing, paddleboarding, kitesurfing and even wave ski!

Cyclists, even those who haven't ridden a bike for some years, will love the Camel Trail which winds its way from Padstow to Wadebridge and out onto Bodmin Moor and makes for a great day out so why not pack a picnic and stop off for lunch along the way. If you want to take things at a gentler pace the historic houses and gardens of Lanhydrock (National Trust) and Pencarrow should not be missed, or head south and spend the day at the world renowned Eden Project.
