Tucked away in an oh-so-pretty part of historic Beaminster, Fox Cottage is a gorgeous retreat for two. As soon as you arrive at this picture-perfect terraced cottage, you will want to hide away in it forever. Just a short stroll from superb eateries and local artisan shops, Fox Cottage is a wonderful choice for your Dorset holiday.

Entering through the front door, you will be met with a beautiful sitting-room, complete with Bluetooth speaker and wood-burner for those cosy evenings in. Every last detail has really been thought of and the stylish interiors enhance the historic character of this Grade II Listed cottage. The kitchen/diner is modern and excellently-equipped with everything you could need. You are on holiday though and if you fancy a well-deserved night off (or two) from the kitchen then wander down to one of the fabulous local restaurants; two favourites are The Ollerod, serving delicious local produce and tempting cocktails and Brassica, with an intimate yet relaxed atmosphere and excellent wine list.

Step out of the patio doors in the kitchen/diner and be greeted with a picturesque courtyard garden, the perfect spot for a glass of bubbly on a summer's evening. Pretty shrubs and a sweet herb garden make this space totally charming.

Upstairs the bedroom exudes luxury, with a king-size bed and pretty views over the church. Super-soft linens and homely touches ensure you totally switch off and relax. Also upstairs is the beautiful bathroom - be sure to check out the fabulous wallpaper as you soak your stresses away. Completing the first floor, there is a smart study room; useful for those workcations. Fox Cottage is situated down a quiet lane and there is on street parking but this is on a first come first served basis. A short walk away there is a long stay car park which is free overnight and you could very easily stop outside the cottage to unload your car.

Beaminster is arguably one of the prettiest towns in Dorset and being situated in the sleepy west of the county, it remains unspoilt and is sure to win your affection. There are a number of excellent eateries and whether you are looking for a cosy pub, restaurant or cafe you are spoilt for choice. All are within walking distance of Fox Cottage so you'll just have to try a new one each day!

Less than three miles away you'll find Mapperton House and Gardens; a Jacobean Manor voted the nation's Finest Manor House by Country Life. A visit to the Furleigh Estate and Winery in Salwayash should also definitely be on your to do list - why not book a tour and sample a glass of fizz? Holidays in Dorset are of course, not complete without a trip to the Jurassic Coast. The golden cliffs at West Bay are a sight to behold, as is the stunning Golden Cap and a bracing walk along this World Heritage coastline will leave you full of unforgettable holiday memories.
