For the perfect holiday Sonoma Lodge offers the BEST location nestled in the glorious south Devon countryside with delightful views stretching to Dartmoor National Park in the distance. The small Georgian market town of Modbury is less than four miles away and numerous wonderful days out are within a short drive, such as Salcombe, Newton Ferrers, Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Bigbury-on-Sea, you really are spoilt for choice. At the end of each day Sonoma will look forward to welcoming you home.

The lodge offers a luxury experience and the best of open plan living; a fully equipped kitchen with a handy breakfast-bar is the perfect spot for a morning coffee as the sun rises. The living area enjoys a flat screen TV with two comfortable sofas allowing you to recharge at the end of the day. You then have two spacious and beautifully furnished bedrooms situated to the back of the lodge. The main bedroom has a secret door through to a luxury and well thought out en suite shower.

When it comes to space Sonoma offers this in abundance and no matter the season the lodge floods with light, thanks to the wonderful doors and windows opening on to the decking. The owners called the lodge 'Sonoma' (pronounced sa-noh-ma) which means Moon Valley. It is one of the most amazing wine growing regions in California because of the glorious sunshine, moonshine and views. There was no better name for the lodge as the view will be enjoyed from dawn to dusk!

Sonoma Lodge really offers the best location for the adventure seekers. Within minutes you can arrive at the start of the Puffin Billy track offering the perfect gateway to Dartmoor either by foot or bike, the views and vast expense of the moors is a feast for the eyes no matter the season. Fancy a spot of paddle boarding, body boarding or perhaps kayaking? Then you have numerous beaches to pick from such as Bigbury-on-Sea, Bantham and not forgetting a local's favourite Mothercombe; one of the jewels in the South Hams' crown.

Taking a trip over to Burgh Island is a must and The Pilchard Inn is the ideal refreshment spot where you can enjoy a thirst-quenching pint. If you want a slower pace of life then you have miles and miles of dramatic coastline to walk whilst discovering secret coves for that perfect picnic lunch.

For the avid golfers amongst you, Wrangaton Golf Club is closest but Bigbury Golf Club is just a short drive away, and the local's favourite has to be Thurlestone Golf Club. You will not be disappointed!
