The Dairy is the largest of all four barns and is closest to The Cattle Byre. It has a spacious kitchen and dining area making it a social space for the family to gather and make plans. There is a separate sitting-room with a wood-burning stove and doors out to the private enclosed garden with comfortable outdoor dining seating. Relax in the peaceful surroundings and enjoy your meals al fresco.

There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, the double has an en suite and there is an additional family bathroom.

Situated in a picturesque and peaceful spot just outside the village of Shorwell on the west side of the Island, Kingston Barns can offer an idyllic holiday to get away from it all. Tucked away at the end of an unmade track and opening up to a spacious communal lawned area for all four barns to enjoy, the kids will have plenty of space to play. With dogs being welcome at Kingston Barns and each barn having its own private enclosed lawn area it couldn't be more suited to the whole family.

Kingston Barns is made up of four adjoining barns, the three other properties are The Cattle Byre (4535), The Stables (4537) and The Pigsty (4538). Each of which can offer separate accommodation or a perfect place to invite the whole family for a special occasion.

Shorwell backs onto the chalk downs leading to Chale Bay and Compton Bay, this side of the Island is less populated and has some of the most stunning and dramatic scenery the Island can offer. It is a walker's heaven with many coastal path routes to follow and charming county pubs to stop at along the way. The Tennyson trail, named after the poet Alfred Lord Tennyson, is well worth a go. Fourteen miles of stunning scenery, your four-legged friend would love it, encompassing Farringford House and The Needles as the finale.

There are plenty of beaches to explore, Compton Bay on Military Road is a popular spot for surfers due to the waves that form when the south-westerly wind is blowing on shore. There are dinosaur footprints visible along Compton Bay when the tide is out, and it is one of the best locations to search for fossils, hours of fun for the younger ones. Colwell Bay, on the western shore, is a mixture of sand and shingle. With calm shallow waters it is more suited for swimming and snorkelling, and deck chairs are available for hire. We would advise you to book a table at The Hut, a beach restaurant with a very good reputation for superb food and a great atmosphere.
