At the heart of a farmstead in the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Duck's Puddle enjoys its own enclosed and private setting, complete with a hot tub and little bridge over the stream. Hidden in a very private setting, this lovely shepherd's hut looks up across farmland towards the hills and woodlands of the Quantocks and is an ideal hideaway for a couple and a four-legged friend.

If you can tear yourself away from your own private retreat here, the Quantocks are criss-crossed with ancient footpaths which take you up to the wild spaces of the high open heathland. The traditional villages that are dotted throughout this area give you plenty of choice for eating out in welcoming local pubs. Try The Rising Sun at West Bagborough for a wonderful Sunday lunch - best to book first or visit the farm shop at Bishops Lydeard for provisions for a barbecue back at base camp, followed by a starlit evening in the hot tub.

Duck's Puddle has been lovingly fitted out and furnished - an excellent example of the glamping experience, with a wood-burning stove, comfy king-size bed, en suite shower with a constant supply of hot water and plenty of other home comforts. What is very special here is the privacy of the setting. Open the five-bar farm gate and pull into your own site and instantly feel far removed from the pressures of a hectic life.

Also located at this farmstead are Lamb's Tale (3246), another beautifully fitted out shepherd's hut and and Coombe Lodge (3261) a Scandinavian style lodge.
