Whilst Goonreeve House retains its original charm with inglenook fireplaces and stripped pine floorboards, it also has modern comforts such as WiFi. The attractive sitting-room is spacious and light, with a wood-burner effect oil-fired stove. The kitchen is small but fully equipped, and the dining-room has a wood-burner and large dining-table, perfect for happy family meals.
Tall windows overlook the granite-pillared entrance of Goonreeve House and the large lawned garden. There is plenty of space for a game of hide-and-seek with your four-legged friend or perhaps a teddy bears picnic on a sunny summers afternoon. Gated off from the quiet lane, this is the perfect place for children and dogs to have fun.
The three lovely bedrooms and family bathroom are all on the first floor - the bedrooms all have relaxing views over the garden, where you will wake up to the charming birdsong of the countryside. The bathroom has a shower cubicle and even an original double-ended claw-foot bath to soak in.
Local lanes are great for walking and cycling with Mylor Yacht Harbour a lovely destination to head towards, where a lovely cafe and popular bistro offer sustenance as a reward. The easy access to good roads mean the beaches, marinas and water sports facilities are just minutes away, while the beautiful Helford valley, numerous Cornish gardens and the rugged cliffs and surfing beaches of the north coast are all within a few miles.
Goonreeve House is a wonderful holiday home lovingly looked after by the welcoming owner, who lives in the adjoining house which faces to the rear and has its own entrance to ensure total privacy for guests.
