The cottage is set in a beautiful estate with peacocks, ducks and geese on the lake just outside the property. Inside the decor is tasteful and the kitchen is exquisite and fully equipped for anything you should need during your stay. The beds were comfy and bathrooms modern. The cottage was warm and clean. We had a wonderful stay there. The walk to the private beach was an extra bonus - we went in March but in the summer it would be perfect for a picnic and watching the boats go by. ...

Our second stay at Barton Manor Lake Cottage greeted us with favorable weather as we arrived on a gloriously sun-drenched Friday afternoon. The cottage overlooks a picturesque lake, where each morning we eagerly awaited the sight of leaping carp and the visit from three regal and resplendent peacocks. Entering through the French doors, we were immediately embraced by the spacious and inviting lounge. Adjacent, the well-equipped kitchen quickly became the heart of our stay, offering ample room for culinary adventures. Both bedrooms were tastefully adorned, adding to the charm of our one-week retreat. In essence, our return to Lake Cottage and the Isle of Wight was just as delightful as our visit of two years’ ago. With endless activities and sights to explore, we eagerly anticipated each return to the cottage, relishing in its breathtaking lake view and leisurely strolls to the private beach in the late afternoon....
