If you are looking for that little bit of luxury for family and friends to gather in the most idyllic of settings, then look no further than Lavethan Mill House - it really is a very special place to stay. Set in the quiet rural hamlet of Tresarrett where peace and tranquility are assured, this Grade II Listed 16th Century Mill House has been brought right into the 21st Century with spacious and luxurious accommodation that perfectly complements the original character and charm of the building.

The kitchen/dining-room is an absolute triumph. A stunning room with a bespoke want-for-nothing kitchen, complete with electric Aga and kitchen island where you will enjoy cooking and dining, or planning the day ahead, whilst admiring the historic water wheel's machinery. And after a day exploring Cornwall relax and unwind in the first floor sitting-room, snuggled up in front of the wood-burner whilst enjoying a holiday film, a game of chess or perhaps a good old sing song around the piano. Two of the gorgeous bedrooms are also on the first floor with of course a stunning family bathroom, and the fabulous suite with the most comfy of super-king beds and its own en suite bathroom is on the second floor.

Of course outside is just as special - a wonderful terrace with its own pizza oven and barbecue is perfect for al fresco dining and beautiful landscaped gardens, a waterwheel, leat, granite terraces and winding paths that will provide hours of exploration and delight.

Semi-detached to Lavethan Mill Cottage (3223) the communal grounds, including an orchard, are yours to share but with so much space to discover you are sure to find your own private corner.

You may not want to leave this little piece of paradise, and who can blame you, but if you can be tempted there are so many delights on offer. For fun on two wheels you can join the renowned Camel Trail right at the end of the drive as it winds its way through wooded valleys and out along the Camel Estuary for 15 miles to Padstow on the north coast. For more trails Cardinham Woods and Lanhydrock are close by and whilst at Lanhydrock take time to visit the historic house and glorious gardens.

The historic port of Charlestown and trendy Fowey on the south coast are well worth a visit and head north for a day at the seaside where Polzeath will be a hit with the surfers and Daymer Bay a winner with the families.

For the ramblers amongst you the drama of Bodmin Moor beckons or you may simply fancy the jaunt up to the village either by road or across the fields where you can stock up on provisions at the local shop or call into the traditional pub for some real ale.
