House of Logs is a unique and stunning property located on the west coast of the Island, just a short walk from Widdick Chine and Totland Bay. Perfect for a peaceful holiday and dog friendly, the house is located on a quiet road opposite the entrance to the coastal path which runs through Headon Warren, a site of Special Scientific Interest, to Alum Bay and The Needles. Completely renovated by the current owner, this Norwegian built house makes a very special holiday destination with a charming interior and the most amazing smell of wood! Reverse level, there is a large enclosed balcony off the dining-room with steps down to a lawned garden which is a magnet for wildlife, including birds, red squirrels and badgers - appropriate food is provided. There is plenty of off street parking and as the house is built on a slope, there are several steps up to the front door and verandah.

The sitting/dining-room is warm and cosy with a multi-burner as the focal point. With an outdoor dining-table, the decked area is a wonderful place to relax with an afternoon cup of tea and a good book. The kitchen overlooks the garden and is very well appointed, with thoughtful touches in keeping with the Scandinavian theme. Three of the four bedrooms are on this floor, with a large bathroom containing a bath and separate shower cubicle. All the bedrooms have been beautifully decorated and the bunk bedroom is sure to be a child’s delight.

The fourth double bedroom is on the ground floor with double doors opening on to a terrace and the rear garden. Wake up and let the sunshine in; there's no need to rush in the mornings. There is a second shower-room and separate WC on this floor making this an ideal property for guests to have their own space. Internal access to the garage is available on this floor; the perfect place to store bikes.

A fifteen minute stroll down the road takes you to Totland Bay, here the beaches are a combination of sand and pebbles, ideal for beach barbecues and swimming alike. There is a restaurant at one end and a beach cafe at the other, what more could you want! The Waterfront Restaurant serves Mediterranean food in a spectacular setting, boasting some of the finest sunsets in Europe. Totland Pier Cafe at the other end of the Bay also serves great food and the obligatory ice cream. A level walk along the sea wall to the neighbouring Colwell Bay boasts more amazing views and is home to The Hut Restaurant (you would be well advised to book ahead).

The coastal walks from House of Logs are plentiful, and what a fantastic place to come back to at the end of the day, whatever the weather. The Island is there to explore, with The Needles nearby and the dramatic coastline along Military Road. House of Logs is a place to make some wonderful holiday memories.
