KingThis gorgeous barn conversion is set within the grounds of the stunning North Grounds Farm, just outside the village of Chale Green on the southern side of the Island. For the environmentally conscious, Grace Cottage has recently had a ground source heating system installed, replacing the oil-fired boiler.
Laid over one floor the cottage has been very tastefully decorated throughout, featuring the original beams and creating a stylish and cosy feeling. The bedroom has an opulent feel with a dressing-room adjacent, giving guests ample storage space and flexible sleeping options with an additional single bed. The bathroom is newly refurbished with a bath and fitted shower.
The front door leads straight into the spacious open plan living-room with kitchen and dining areas, which is both light and airy, with a wood-burner to cosy up in front of after a day of adventures on the Island. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need, however Grace Cottage is not far from several great pubs, so there's no need to cook at all!
There is a charming lawned area to the front of the cottage, with outdoor seating to relax on of an afternoon with a welcome cup of tea. Dogs are welcome, just be aware the owners live on the farm and have their own dogs which roam free.
Grace Cottage is in prime walking territory, several footpaths start from just outside the property and within easy reach. Take in the stunning St Catherine's Downs, and if you are feeling energetic the Tennyson Trail leading to Tennyson Downs rewards you with a spectacular view out to sea. The Military Road commences about a five minute drive away, a coastal road ending at Freshwater with some of the Island's most breathtaking scenery overlooking the Needles. There are many viewpoints along the way to stop at, perhaps treat yourself to an ice cream!
Grace Cottage is the perfect retreat for couples, why not take a break from it all and enjoy the fresh air; the Island has more to offer than perhaps you would imagine.
