White Cottage is a traditional Cornish cottage with fabulous views over the most beautiful part of the Helford River across to Frenchman's Creek, the rolling countryside and woods beyond. Found along narrow Cornish leafy lanes and accessed down a long (partly unmade) private lane, this is a truly tranquil place to stay.

This secluded cottage is a lovely place to relax, sit and enjoy the large sun terrace which spans the front of the cottage or soak up the rays while overlooking the gently sloping one acre garden which reaches all the way down to the water's edge and the private water frontage.

The flowing living space overlooks the Helford River and is perfect for families or groups of friends. The bright kitchen/dining-room has a traditional slate floor and French windows that open onto the large sunny terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. The kitchen table is a lovely spot for shared meals or planning the day's activities.

The sitting-room has a beautiful granite fireplace with a large wood-burner to snuggle up in front of after a day exploring, and there is also a stable-door opening onto the terrace. There is a family bathroom, with a separate bath and shower, on the ground floor. Off the rear entrance hall there is also a separate utility cupboard with a washing machine and tumble-drier.

Steep stairs lead from the back of the kitchen up to the three bedrooms, all with views of the Helford River. The master bedroom has a brass king-size bed with an en suite bathroom, the second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has two single beds (recommended for children only). Everyone has the luxury of lying in bed and enjoying the peace and quiet while watching the tide coming and going.

At the bottom of the garden is a private slipway and mooring where you can launch your kayak or dinghy to explore the Helford River, visit the Ferry Boat Inn or Shipwright Arms at Helford, or find a hidden beach or quay to call your own. A selection of boats can be hired, by private arrangement, from the local company Sailaway who will deliver a boat to the mooring awaiting your arrival (please be aware that the Helford River is tidal at this point and the mooring dries out at low tide).

White Cottage is on the banks of the Helford which has so much to offer, including a FTTH (Fibre To The Home) broadband connection which provides a high speed (45 mpbs download; 10 mbps upload) internet connection. You can carry out plenty of research on where to go but only a short drive away are the unique sub-tropical gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah for all the family to enjoy.

The pretty coastal town of Falmouth is only a ten minute drive with many boutiques, shops, restaurants and sandy beaches. If you wish to holiday with extended family or friends there is a lovely cottage only 100 yards away, Creek Cottage (4120).

Whether you choose to stay in the cottage or explore from this lovely location, you will just want to keep coming back time and time again.
