If you were looking for cottages like Byways, how about trying these:

Just off the village square, this Grade II Listed cottage built of traditional cob is one of the oldest in the village of Portscatho. It retains the charm and authenticity of a traditional fisherman’s dwelling including the steep cottage stairs up to the first floor and the fireplace even has its original inglenook bread oven. The two simply furnished bedrooms each have direct access to the cheerful shower-room.

The cottage is semi-detached and shares a secluded south-facing, prettily planted courtyard with Dormer Cottage next door also owned by the same family.

Once your car is unloaded, you will need to park in the village car park and enjoy Portscatho on foot.
